eenu ("we", "us") processes the personal information of people who use the KeyMate app and keyboard (the "Service") in accordance with applicable law, including the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea. This policy explains what we process and why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have.
1. Information we process and why
Text you send to AI features: Only when you tap the translate, spelling, or tone button above the keyboard and run it, the current paragraph before the cursor is sent to our server. It is used only to produce the result you asked for and is not stored after the result is returned. Values that look like card numbers or Korean resident registration numbers are hidden on your device before sending and never reach our server. AI features are unavailable in one-time code, card number, and password fields.
Anonymous user ID and sign-up time: A random ID created without your name, email, or phone number. Used to manage free usage and subscription status.
Usage: The number of AI tokens used per day. Used to enforce free and subscription limits.
Subscription information: Transaction data signed by the App Store (original transaction ID, product, expiry date, environment), which we verify and store to provide subscription benefits. Payment details are handled by Apple; we never receive them.
IP address: At sign-up we count sign-ups per IP address per day, only to prevent mass sign-ups that abuse free benefits.
Server access logs: Our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) automatically records technical logs such as access time and IP address for a short period, for reliability and troubleshooting.
2. Information stored only on your device
Recently Sent and Quick Phrases: So you can reuse them from the keyboard, recently sent messages (up to 20) and phrases you save are stored only on your device. They are never sent to our server, and you can delete them anytime in Settings > Keyboard Tools in the app.
Settings: Keyboard languages, keyboard tool order, tone, and similar settings are stored only on your device.
3. Information we do not process
Anything you type without tapping an AI feature button never leaves your device.
In password fields, iOS uses the system keyboard instead of KeyMate, so we cannot access them.
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, or location, and we do not track you for advertising.
4. Why "Allow Full Access" is needed
iOS requires this permission for a keyboard to connect to the internet and share settings with its app. KeyMate uses it only for AI feature requests, sharing settings with the app, and haptic feedback.
5. Retention and deletion
Text sent to AI features is discarded as soon as the result is returned and is never stored.
The anonymous user ID, usage, and subscription information are kept while you use the Service and deleted without delay when you request deletion or when the Service ends, except where the law requires us to keep transaction records for a set period.
Per-IP sign-up counts are kept only to prevent mass sign-ups and are deleted together on request.
Server access logs are deleted automatically after a short period under Cloudflare's retention policy.
Electronic files are deleted in a way that cannot be recovered.
6. Sharing and processors
We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for advertising. To provide the Service, we use the processors below, which protect the information at a level equal to or greater than this policy under their own privacy policies and agreements.
